The Sugar Club Story
Hospitality calls for care and intuition in everything from the craft itself to how it looks and feels. The name is what gets placed on the whole creation, and the meaning behind it is what ties it all together. Carl Tranchell was a former owner of the estate. He was the one who built the castle — what is now Hill House. Known locally as “the sugar king,” Tranchell played a key role in the Swedish sugar industry.
It only felt right to name this part of the resort after the person who laid the foundation for our new chapter.
