It tastes like a memory is being felt – effortlessly good
Wine Week på Maryhill
25 October to 1 November
This year’s Wine Week brings us together around great wines and great conversation. Some bottles rarely leave the cellar, if ever. This week, we’re making an exception.
During Wine Week, our sommeliers will be pouring a selection of the world’s most sought-after wines by the glass — among them La Tâche 2017. All of it set to the sound of the week’s own in-house band: brothers Oskar Nilsson Bettinsoli and Axel Nilsson, joined by vocalist Isabel Berglund.
Three voices, one interplay, and a sound that mirrors the stars in the glass. And as if that weren’t enough — as we write this, plans are being hatched and inboxes are lighting up. There are whispers of guest appearances in the kitchen, fragrant truffle on the plate, and a familiar face with a wine to match.
Premiere · 25 October–1 November
Maryhill Wine Week
During Wine Week, we open the doors to the people behind the wines: winemakers, sommeliers, and some of the wine world’s most beloved storytellers. Five evenings, each with its own voice. Have a look through the dates below to see who’s taking their place at Hill House.

Unforgettable memories around the table
“Wine, in the end, is never really about the price tag or the label. It’s about the story in the bottle, the soil it grew in, and the memories made around the table. Our wine cellar was built for exactly those moments — a place where curiosity always trumps prestige.”
— Erik Sundstén, Head of Sommeliers
Head of Sommeliers
Meet Erik – Head of Sommelier at Maryhill
It started with a Taylor’s Vintage Port from 1966. Erik was eighteen years old, the glass was small, the moment was bigger. Ever since, wine has been his language. He talks about it the way others talk about old friends — with warmth, respect, and a hint of pride. Erik Sundstén, our Head of Sommeliers, is the man behind the award-winning cellar, the reason for Mary’s Vineyard, and the one who guides every bottle to its rightful place at the table.
Ask him what he’s pouring right now, and the answer will be a Fino sherry from Bodegas Poniente — “sherry is always a good idea,” he says, with that easy confidence that has guests trusting his recommendations without a second thought. Old school, with a curious and open mind, always on the hunt for the next experience. That’s how Erik describes himself. And that’s how every glass he pours feels.
